Mostary's playing career began when she was 11, playing for Bangladesh Krira Shikka Prostisthan Women, before she moved to represent her hometown Rangpur in 2017
Born: February 13, 2002
Role: Right-arm bat, right-arm medium
The youngest member of the squad going to Australia, aged 17, Mostary is a great emerging talent.
Her playing career began when she was 11, playing for Bangladesh Krira Shikka Prostisthan Women, before she moved to represent her hometown Rangpur in 2017.
Aged just 15, she made her international debut in an ODI against South Africa in May 2018. Mostary has only appeared on two more occasions for her country (as of February 1, 2020), and will therefore be hoping to take to the field in her first world tournament.
She was given a taste of playing on a global stage when she made her T20 debut in August 2019 against the Netherlands, as part of the 2019 qualifiers for the World T20.
More experience was handed to her when, later in 2019, she was given the chance to be part of Bangladesh’s emerging players tour, for games against South Africa and Sri Lanka.
There is no doubt that even if Mostary doesn’t get an opportunity to play in the World Cup, the experience of being part of the tournament and sharing a dressing room with some of the most experienced women’s cricketers from her country will be invaluable to her career.
