A debutante for Goa at the age of just 15, Shikha Pandey would dismiss Charlotte Edwards in a 2010 tour game while representing a Board President’s XI against England.
The seamer would have to wait a further four years for her international debut, however, facing Bangladesh in a T20I in 2014.
In doing so, she made history, becoming only the second player from Goa – after Dilip Sardesai – to represent the national team.
Only five players have taken more ODI wickets for India than Pandey, with Jhulan Goswami well ahead of the pack, followed by Neetu David, Nooshin Al Khadeer, Ekta Bisht and Amita Sharma.
