Nobody in women's cricket worldwide affected as many dismissals as Koncharoenkai in T20Is in 2019
Born: September 11, 2000
Role: Right-hand bat, wicketkeeper
Thailand’s wicketkeeper is just 19 years of age and, thus, will be one of the younger players at the T20 World Cup.
And yet, she enjoyed a peerless 2019 behind the stumps for her country.
Nobody in women’s cricket worldwide affected as many dismissals as Koncharoenkai in T20Is. She took 14 catches, while polishing off an outrageous figure of 15 stumpings – nine more dismissals than her closest rival, Scotland’s Sarah Bryce.
Following the conclusion of the Asia Cup one year beforehand, she was named by the ICC as Thailand’s rising star of the competition.
Given her team’s plethora of spinners, the need for a competent gloveman is paramount.
