One of the youngest members of the squad, Murshida Khutan built her skill set up through years of cricket training at her local school in order to earn selection for her first global tournament, the 2020 T20 World Cup.
Her debut came in 2018, aged just 18 against South Africa in a one-day game, with her T20 debut coming in the following weeks against the same opposition.
With only 11 appearances for her country, she has benefited from touring with the Bangladesh Women’s Emerging team, for whom she has impressed on several occasions - most notably against Pakistan’s emerging side, scoring 69.
Her recent string of impressive performances - Khatun recorded both her T20 and ODI highest scores in 2019 - resulted in herbeing part of the squad for the World T20 qualifiers.
From just six T20 matches (to February 1, 2020), she had scored 102 runs, including 34 against India B in January 2020.
