Role: Right-hand bat

A veteran of the squad, Hoque made her 100th appearance for Bangladesh in 2019, eight years after making her debut in Bangladesh's first international game in 2011 against Ireland.

Born in Gaibandha, cricket has been a large part of her life from an early age as she began to play at school, and would take the kit home with her and train in the streets.

The hours of practice have certainly paid off as her batting credentials are some of the most impressive of the squad, as she is the second highest ODI run scorer for Bangladesh (732) behind vice-captain, Rumana Ahmed.

Her high score in one-day games came in 2018 against South Africa, when she hit 69 not out.

Hoque has the most half-centuries in one-day and T20 games among Bangladeshi women, having hit six ODI fifties and three in the 20-over game.

She was the leading runscorer for her side in the 2019 T20 World Cup qualifiers, with a best of 63.

In 2019 against the Maldives, Hoque hit the fastest T20 century for her country, smashing 110 not out off just 53 balls to become only the second woman for Bangladesh to reach three figures in the format.

She shared in a record-breaking 236-run partnership with Nigar Sultana in that very game to help her side to gold in the South Asian games.

Hoque is the highest placed batsman for Bangladesh in the ICC batting rankings as well as being the leading runscorer for her country in T20s, with 949 runs from 64 games.
