Born: December 8, 1982

Role: Right-hand bat, wicketkeeper

At the age of 37, Dilani Manodara is Sri Lanka’s oldest and third most experienced player with 159 appearances in ODIs and T20Is combined, just six appearances behind captain Chamari Atapattu.

In her 62 T20Is betwee her debut against Pakistan in June 2009 and January 2020, she has scored 752 runs at an average of 19.78, with a strike rate of 82 and a high score of 50 not out.

She is not only effective with the bat but she has also been a consistent performer with the gloves.

Her batting has gone from strength to strength since her debut and one of her stand-out performances for Sri Lanka was in the 2017 World Cup against India where she scored 61 off 75 balls.

She hit the ball to all areas of the ground and her favourite shots include the sweep and the paddle scoop.

In 2017 she broke the record for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper for Sri Lanka in ODIs and she was a member of the 2014 Asian Games bronze medal-winning team.

She was included in the squad for the 2018 T20 World Cup and performed well in what was a disappointing tournament for Sri Lanka.

Her stand-out display was in Sri Lanka’s second group game against South Africa where she hit 20 off 12 balls including four fours.

She will be one of Sri Lanka’s key leaders in the upcoming tournament and will hope to put in some good performances for her side.
