The teenage allrounder has all the tools to become one of the leading cricketers of her generation.
Her name – and, indeed, her star – became widely known when, in 2018, she made 313 runs against Ireland in the space of five days.
Her unbeaten 81 would be something of a prelude to the main event – a 145-ball 232, an innings that put the cricket world on notice.
In truth, Kerr has struggled to push on from there.
She has not passed fifty apart from those two knocks and her average, as well it might be, is held up by those efforts.
With the ball, however, it is a different story.
She has already dismissed Meg Lanning twice with her leg-breaks, while Ellyse Villani has fallen to her on four occasions.
During the 2017 World Cup, her wrist-spin stood out; she took 10 wickets in six pool matches.
