I’m pretty sure it’s not the start to the summer anybody saw coming. And it’s certainly not what any of us wanted. But as we get to grips with this pandemic, I want to reassure you that The Cricketer will be with you come what may, as we have been to our loyal clients for one hundred years and counting.

This month we have seen the largest growth in magazine subscriptions for a decade. We’ve enjoyed the most visitors to our site in April ever. And we’ve got a smorgasbord of ideas which we will be rolling out in the coming days, weeks and months. If you want to reach a growing, highly engaged and affluent audience, we are here for you.

If you are missing cricket, clients and everyday routines, we are here for you too. Pick up the phone or drop us a line. We’d love to chew the fat and enjoy some company and comfort in the fact that there is light at the end of the tunnel. And it will be worth the wait.

Let’s remind ourselves of Ben Stokes at Headingley in last year’s Ashes miracle. In the same innings, he made just two runs in 66 balls and then 74 runs smashed from just 42 deliveries. Like Stokes, we have some serious graft ahead of us. But the tide will turn for us as it did for him on that sun-drenched afternoon.

Stay safe,
