Flights from India have been suspended until May 15 but those returning thereafter will not be given special treatment
Australia prime minister Scott Morrison has warned his country's players currently at the Indian Premier League they will not be given special treatment to help their return.
The comments come after Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa and Andrew Tye withdrew from the tournament, though only the latter has been able to catch a plane home.
Cricket Australia are insisted they will "assist where possible" but chartered flights are unlikely to be available. The tournament is due to run until May 30.
As many as 36 players, officials, support staff and media personnel are currently in India working on the IPL in addition to the thousands of Australians currently in the country.
But Morrison said: "It's done on vulnerability. They (players) travelled there privately under those arrangements, this wasn't part of an Australia tour.
"They're under their own resources and they'll be using those resources to, I'm sure, see them return to Australia."
