Sterre Kalis is one of a small number of international stars flying the flag for Associate nations on the women's regional circuit.
She started playing cricket as a five-year-old in The Hague before making her debut for the Netherlands just under a decade later.
Kalis then relocated to Australia, representing the University of Tasmania and training with Sydney Thunder before earning a professional contract with Queensland Fire.
She joined Diamonds in 2020, scoring a team-leading 197 runs in her debut season, and continues to be a reliable source of runs in List A cricket.
In the Charlotte Edwards Cup, she is yet to find her best form, scoring 83 runs in 2021 and 106 runs in 2022, but having previously held the record for the highest individual knock in a women's T20I (126 not out versus Germany in La Manga), a run of good scores cannot be too far away.
Kalis' cricketing hero is former South Africa international Jacques Kallis.
