Johannesburg native Michaela Kirk arrived in the Midlands ahead of the 2021 season.
She previously represented South African side Northerns, debuting in 2012, and made nine appearances in 2019 as they won the 50-over CSA Women's Provincial League.
Kirk, who holds dual British-South African nationality, dreams of playing for England at international level and named wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Taylor as her cricketing hero.
She made three appearances in the 2021 Charlotte Edwards Cup, scoring 18 runs, and scored 71 runs - including one half-century - in four Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy outings. However, her season was cut short by an ACL injury sustained whlie fielding during The Hundred.
Due to that injury, she has only featured twice on the domestic circuit since July 2021.
Kirk enjoys baking in her spare time.
