One of two three-time World Cup winners in the squad, alongside Katherine Brunt, Jenny Gunn is a 259-cap England international with 2,702 runs and 240 wickets to her name.
The self-confessed ‘big sister’ of the Diamonds squad, Gunn started playing cricket in 1997 and represented, among others, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire Diamonds, Loughborough Lightning, South Australia and Western Australia before joining Northern Diamonds in 2020.
In 2020, she scored 149 runs and took eight wickets in seven appearances and was one five players awarded a professional contract.
The following season, she scored 109 List A runs and 97 T20 runs for Diamonds, stablising the middle and lower order with her vast experience, as well as taking 22 wickets across both formats. She was the club's leading wicket-taker in T20 cricket, picking up 13 dismissals.
In 2022, she will represent Northern Superchargers in The Hundred after spending the inaugural season on the franchise's coaching staff.
