Gwen Davies previously represented Yorkshire Diamonds and Surrey Stars in the Kia Super League as well as playing in Warwickshire’s Women’s T20 Cup-winning squad in 2019.
Not content with excelling in just one sport, she has also played football for Wales.
Joining Central Sparks ahead of the 2020 season, she scored 169 runs at 28.16 as well as completing four catches and one stumping. The following season she was once again among the runs, scoring 193 runs in eight Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy outings and 63 runs in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.
Most frequenty batting at No.4, Davies' runs will be even more crucial in 2022 following the departure of Marie Kelly for Lightning.
As well as representing Sparks, she also plays for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred and is head of girl's cricket at Shrewsbury School. She was awarded a full-time professional contract in 2020.
