Grace Potts took up cricket as a six-year-old and has represented Porthill Women, Staffordshire and England Women's academy, playing against a touring ICC side for the latter in 2019.

A right-arm medium-pace bowler, she made her Sparks debut in 2021, taking two wickets against South East Stars in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, before announcing herself on the regional stage in 2022.

She took 12 wickets as Sparks reached the final of the Charlotte Edwards Cup and added a further 10 wickets in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy – Katie Levick and Linsey Smith were the only bowlers to take more wickets across the regional structure.

Not only a promising seam bowler, Potts also played netball and hockey at county level and is studying sports psychology at Loughborough University.

She was awarded a professional contract ahead of the 2023 season.
