Role: right-hand bat, right-arm medium fast
Emily Arlott came through the Worcestershire age-groups and has represented Worcestershire Rapids, Central Sparks, Birmingham Phoenix and England A.
She was awarded a full-time professional contract at the end of 2020 and went on to take 14 wickets in all formats for Central Sparks in 2021, forming a potent opening partnership with fellow pacer Issy Wong.
Arlott added a further 15 wickets in 2022, nine of which came in the Charlotte Edwards Cup as Central Sparks advanced to the final, and was called up to England's Test squad to face South Africa in June 2022. A bout of Covid-19 prevented her from making her international bow.
She came onto England's radar because of her ability to generate extra bounce and seam movement and can class New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine among her admirers. "Her changes of pace were outstanding," Devine said during the 2022 edition of The Hundred. "The confidence she has in her change-ups, knowing where her field goes – that makes my job so much easier."
In her spare time, Arlott enjoys cycling in the Malvern Hills.
