Matt Taylor agrees contract extension with Gloucestershire

It was a breakthrough year for Taylor - the younger brother of Gloucestershire batsman Jack Taylor - who took a career-high 46 wickets at an average of 25.45, with his 5-81 away to Glamorgan a particular highlight.

Fast bowler Matt Taylor has signed a three-year contract extension with Gloucestershire.

The deal means he will remain at the Brightside Ground until the end of the 2021 season.

Taylor made his debut for the county in 2011, and the 24-year-old featured in all of their Specsavers County Championship matches in the 2018 season.

Taylor said: "I am delighted to extend my contract with Gloucestershire. After making some great progress as a squad this season I am excited to see what we can achieve over the next few years."

Gloucestershire head coach Richard Dawson commented: "It’s great that Matt has extended his contract with Gloucestershire. He has had a great year in the County Championship and has been an integral part of the squad. We look forward to him continuing to improve and help the Club.”
