The West Indian allrounder is "recovering from a medical situation" and has been forced to withdraw just hours before the Women's Premier League opener against Mumbai Indians
Gujarat Giants have been forced into a late change to their squad with Kim Garth replacing Deandra Dottin for the inaugural Women's Premier League.
The West Indian allrounder is "recovering from a medical situation" according to a team statement and will miss the entire competition.
She was signed for 60 lakh (£60,000) during the player auction in February, with her last competitive outing coming in the WBBL for Adelaide Strikers last November.
Garth was left unsold during the auction but goes straight into the squad for the opening game against Mumbai Indians on Saturday (March 4).

Formerly of Ireland, the 26-year-old became a fully-fledged Australia player in December's T20I series against India.
It followed more than two years of playing across the domestic system down under to qualify.
A non-playing member of the squad which won the T20 World Cup in South Africa, Garth has played 36 ODIs and 54 T20Is during her dual international career.
Teammate Beth Mooney will lead Giants into the first-ever WPL, a five-team tournament which runs until March 26.
