Eoin Morgan considers Mark Wood inclusion against Pakistan

The England captain is weighing up his options after they beat South Africa by 104 runs at the Oval on Thursday

England captain Eoin Morgan believes there is a "good case" for any of his bowlers to play but refused to comment on whether he would make changes to the team that will face Pakistan tomorrow.

Rumours circulating in the last few days have suggested Morgan could include Mark Wood in a pace attack that has been firing on all counts as the hosts look to follow up their 104-run victory over South Africa with another win.

However, the England captain refused to give out names and believes any of the bowlers at his disposal could be called upon at Trent Bridge.

Morgan said: "I think there's a good case for playing any of our bowlers. We'll have to adapt to anything the wicket throws up.

"If there is anything to exploit, hopefully we'll select the right team."

On how thrilling it would be to see Jofra Archer and Wood working in tandem, Morgan added: "It is exciting. It's like saying can you add a Jason Roy 180 to a Jos Buttler 150 off 70 or 80 balls - it might happen and if it does that would be awesome."

Wood could be brought in by Morgan to face Pakistan

England concluded their World Cup preparations with a 4-0 series victory over Monday's opponents, who were thrashed by the West Indies in their opening encounter on Friday.

However, Morgan refused to get carried away given the unpredictability of Sarfraz Ahmed's side, who dumped England out of the Champions Trophy two years ago on the way to lifting the trophy.

Morgan said: "We're preparing for Pakistan at their best.

"Only two years ago they were the best side in the Champions Trophy, they turned us over, they turned India over. We'll be preparing as best we can for their A-game."
