The New Road club have staged a major restructure following the exit of the former player, just 20 months after his return to the club
Worcestershire have confirmed the departure of chief-executive Matt Rawnsley.
The 43-year-old only returned to New Road in March 2018 following several years as a professional at the club.
Rawnsley is a strong supporter of The Hundred and has sat on the board of Edgbaston-based side Birmingham Phoenix.
A statement added: "The board would like to thank Matt for all his hard work at WCCC in the last 20 months and wish him every success in the future."
Chairman Fanos Hira has taken over administrative matters in the interim.
Paul Pridgeon, also an ex-Worcestershire player, will remain in charge of cricketing matters as vice-chairman of the steering group.
Despite recording their worst Division Two finish of ninth, the club reached the knock-out stage in both the One-Day Cup and T20 Blast competitions.
On both occasions they lost to the eventual winners, being knocked-out in the play-offs of the 50-over competition by Somerset before losing in the final on T20 Finals day to champions Essex.
