What's the match?

Perth Scorchers take on Hobart Hurricanes in match 15 of the WBBL; the eighth edition of the tournament.

When is it taking place?

The game is scheduled to start at 2.15pm local time (7.15am BST) on Saturday, October 22.

Where is the match being played?

The WACA in Perth is set to stage this match.

Who's got the form?

Scorchers have picked up from they left off from their victorious campaign last term, winning their opening three games thanks to three successful chases.

They start the day second in the table, level on six points with Brisbane Heat (who they narrowly trail on net run rate) and Sydney Sixers.

Hobart Hurricanes are nestled in mid-table after two wins and a defeat in their opening three games.

On either side of wins over Sydney Thunder, they lost to Sunday's opponents by eight wickets.

What's the key match-up?

Central to Scorchers beating Hurricanes in their first meeting was their performance with the new ball.

Alana King, Taneale Peschel, Sophie Devine and Marizanne Kapp shared the first five overs, reducing their opponents to 16 for 2.

King dismissed Elyse Villani for a four-ball duck and Kapp trapped Rachel Trenaman lbw in the fourth over.

How effective Devine is in rotating her bowlers in the powerplay and beyond will be key to keeping the likes of Lizelle Lee from getting off to a punchy start.

Lee's nine off 20 balls in Sydney was followed by a player of the match performance in victory over Sydney Thunder, a boundary-laden 41 off 29 deliveries.

What's the weather forecast?

Afternoon rain threatens to consign this match to the history books as a washout. Inclement weather is due to start in the early afternoon and grow heavier as the day progresses.

What is the team news?

Holly Ferling came in for her debut in Scorchers' last outing. Taneale Peschel will be hoping to regain her place, while Charis Bekker, Maddy Darke and Georgia Wyllie are waiting in the wings

Emma Manix-Geeves and Amy Smith are the backup options for the Hurricanes in their match-day squad, but they could stick with the same XI that beat Thunder.

What are the odds?
