Oval Invincibles host Manchester Originals in the next match of the women's Hundred 2023.
The game is due to start at 3pm BST on Wednesday, August 9.
Oval Invincibles home ground is the Kia Oval in south London.
Oval Invincibles will be desperate to bounce back after a poor display against Welsh Fire at the weekend. The home side put on a pretty sorry display with the bat, being bowled out for 80 off 98 balls. It didn't take the visitors long to successfully chase down the total, scoring 81 off 80 balls.
Lauren Winfield-Hill did her best to ensure the Invincibles had a defendable score, hitting 42 runs for 35 balls, but apart from her, everyone else failed to get above 10. The standout with the ball was Marizanne Kapp, who took four wickets fwith impressive economy of 4.5.
Following the abandonment of their first two games, Manchester Originals effectively began their campaign with victory against Birmingham Phoenix at Old Trafford on Monday, and it was the first time the competition got to see their ruthless bowling attack in action.
Fi Morris became the first woman, and fifth player across women's and men's competitions, to take a five-wicket haul, and Sophie Ecclestone claimed 4 for 11. Meanwhile, with the bat, Laura Wolvaardt carried on where she left off from last year's Hundred, scoring 38 for the Originals. It was a fine display all round for the Manchester side.
The Originals' bowling attack has the potential to make short work of the Invincibles batting lineup, and Morris and Ecclestone will be hungry for more wickets after their outstanding performances at the weekend.
How the Invincibles respond to their collapse against Fire will be intriguing - there is plenty of run potential, and Manchester will be wary of a retaliation.
