Farrant undertook an extensive rehab programme following the initial injury and returned to domestic action in April but has been luckless since completing her recovery
England seamer Tash Farrant has been ruled out for the remainder of the summer after suffering a reoccurrence of a stress fracture.
Farrant, 27, first sustained the injury – of the lumbar spine – last May and subsequently missed the 2022 season.
She has played for South East Stars, her regional team, almost entirely as a specialist batter in 2023, having not bowled since May 1.

The left-armer was the first player following the revamp of the regional structure to represent England after losing her central contract, before then regaining her England deal.
She is now set to undergo another operation, which will force her out of the Heyhoe Flint Trophy and the third edition of The Hundred.
Fellow left-arm seamer Freya Kemp is currently on the comeback trail from a similar injury; she has been playing as a batter for Southern Vipers and has been selected by England A to face Australia A.
