Antigua: England 256, West Indies 105 - England win by 151 runs

Scorecard

England completed a three-match ODI whitewash against West Indies in Jon Lewis' first series as head coach, with Nat Sciver starring for a second time in three games.

Sciver, making her international return in the Caribbean after taking a mental health break towards the end of the English summer, smashed 85 off just 69 balls and then took two wickets to stymy a feeble response from the hosts.

She was the only player to pass fifty on either side, with England bowled out in just 43.3 overs for 256, a score that was ultimately ample as West Indies struggled painfully in the run-chase to be bowled out for 105 and lose by 151 runs.

Sophie Ecclestone finished with figures of 3 for 9 in nine overs, a spell that included six maidens. There were also wickets for Kate Cross, Freya Davies, Charlie Dean and Alice Davidson-Richards, who replaced Heather Knight.

Knight was left out as England manage her workloads on her way back from a hip injury, while Lauren Bell – fresh off career-best figures – was also rested.

West Indies had actually started well in their pursuit, with Hayley Matthews (28) guiding her team to 40 in the powerplay, but from the moment she was brilliantly caught at slip by Ecclestone, the innings subsided dramatically.

Only twin sisters Kycia Knight (11) and Kyshona Knight (13) reached double figures thereafter, and there were just eight fours in the entire innings – fewer than Sciver hit on her own.

She was well supported by both Danni Wyatt (35), who came together with Sciver when England were reeling at 84 for 4, and stand-in captain Amy Jones (32*), who has enjoyed an excellent series from No.7 and has been dismissed just once.

Emma Lamb (29) and Tammy Beaumont (26) both made starts but not for the first time in the series were unable to kick on. Beaumont was one of three wickets for the excellent Shakera Selman on her 100th ODI appearance, with left-arm spinner Kaysia Schultz accounting for Lamb after replacing Sheneta Grimmond.

The teams now face each other in five T20Is ahead of the T20 World Cup, with Katherine Brunt and Lauren Winfield-Hill both returning to England's squad.
