Laura Marsh has left Sunrisers following a spell as interim head coach.

The former England international, who played across all formats and was part of the 2017 World Cup-winning squad, took over from Trevor Griffin last summer.

She had joined the team the previous season as an assistant coach following her retirement from professional cricket in August 2020.

It was a challenging campaign at the helm, with Sunrisers failing to win a single game in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy or Charlotte Edwards Cup.

Marsh is scheduled to be part of Chris Guest's coaching team for England's campaign in the inaugural Women's Under-19 World Cup in January 2023 in South Africa.

"The experience and knowledge that Laura has brought to our group has been hugely instrumental in shaping us as a team," Sunrisers regional director of women's cricket Danni Warren said.

"For her to take on the responsibility of head coach at a challenging time was very brave, and a role that she gave her all to.

"We are indebted to her passion and commitment and are determined to use the platform she has given us to further develop as a team."
