Freya Kemp has been ruled out of the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup after sustaining a stress fracture in her back.
The 17-year-old had travelled to the Caribbean with England for their white-ball tour against West Indies but did not feature in any of the three ODIs due to back pain.
She returned to England on December 10 and further exploratory scans have uncovered a stress fracture.

No timeline has been placed on her return to action and she is currently undergoing rehabilitation with England Women and Southern Vipers.
Kemp made her international debut against South Africa in July 2022 and has since established herself as a regular performer in the T20I XI, taking eight wickets and maintaining an economy below eight an over in nine appearances. She also scored an unbeaten half-century against India in Derby in September.
In ODIs, she has earned two caps, both of which came against India.
