Cooper hit the winning runs in the 2016 World T20 final and replaces Nation, who has a knee problem
West Indies have called up Britney Cooper to their T20 World Cup squad as an injury replacement for Chedean Nation.
Veteran batter Cooper hit the winning runs when her country won the World T20 in 2016, but she has played just seven times in T20Is since the start of 2021.
She comes in for Nation, who is struggling with a knee problem.
Despite representing West Indies since 2009 and in 76 T20Is, Cooper has averaged just 11.1 with the bat, reaching fifty only once in that time.

She saved that knock for one of the biggest matches of her career, though, hitting 61 in the 2016 semi-final – a six-run win over New Zealand that set up the victorious final against Australia at Eden Gardens.
Nation, three years older than Cooper, came into the World Cup after recovering from an injury suffered in the ODI series against England in December.
She made an unbeaten 21 against India on Wednesday but has since been ruled out.
