Northern Diamonds have signed Australia international Erin Burns for the 2024 season.
The allrounder will be available in both the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup until the beginning of The Hundred on July 23. She will, however, miss one match during this period due to a prior engagement in Australia.
Burns is no stranger to the women's regional circuit, having represented Central Sparks in 2023.
In six List A outings for the Sparks, she scored 94 runs and took 12 wickets with an economy of 4.55, while in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, she scored 185 runs at a strike rate of 141.22 and took a team-leading nine wickets with an economy of 7.69.

Over the course of her career, she has scored over 5,800 runs and taken 184 wickets across both white-ball formats as well as establishing a reputation as a dynamic fielder.
"I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Diamonds this summer," said Burns, who has six caps for Australia.
"I've loved my time with the Sparks last summer and in The Hundred for the last few years, so heading back over to England was a pretty easy decision.
"Winning a trophy or two is something I'm desperate to do, and we definitely have the capability to do that."
Diamonds captain, Hollie Armitage, who played alongside Burns at Sydney Sixers in the Women's Big Bash, added: "Erin is a brilliant signing for us. She brings a lot of experience on and off the field.
"I was lucky enough to play alongside her a few years ago, and she's a brilliant character. She will add a lot of value to our squad, and we're really looking forward to her joining us this year.
"With overseas signings, you want someone who can bat and bowl. We're really pleased she can provide those two disciplines, but she's also an outstanding fielder."
