"It's always a great place to visit and with a new head coach soon to come on board it's the beginning of a new cycle for this team," director of England women's cricket Jonathan Finch.

"The West Indies series sees our first overseas round of the ICC Women’s Championship and it's key we get some points on the board. The tour also plays an important role in preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup early next year."

It remains to be seen who will lead England into the tour, their first bilateral series first in the Caribbean over any format since 2016-17. The process to recruit a new head coach to replace Lisa Keightley, who stood down at the end of the summer, remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, Captain Heather Knight is currently recovering from surgery on a hip injury that forced her to miss swathes of the summer. in September, Nat Sciver took a break from cricket to manage her mental health.
