West Indies batsman Evin Lewis has picked up a right hamstring injury in the first over of the World Cup game against New Zealand at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old picked up the problem while chasing the ball during the opening exchanges in Manchester.
Lewis limped off after just six balls of the Kiwi innings and was replaced by Fabian Allen, who will field in his place for the whole of the New Zealand innings.
He will continue to be assessed to determine whether he will be fit to bat for the Windies in the chase.
