Brisbane Heat take on Perth Scorchers in match 23 of the WBBL; the eighth edition of the tournament.
The game is scheduled to start at 7.10pm local time (9.10am BST) on Saturday, October 29.
The Allan Border Field in Brisbane is set to stage this match.
In this clash between second and third, both teams will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeats. Brisbane Heat had an uncharacteristic batting collapse against Adelaide Strikers on Thursday, getting bowled out for just 109. However, they will still be confident in their batting, with Georgia Redmayne as the tournament's leading run scorer. Danni Wyatt is yet to find form for the Heat but has proved her ability to score big totals at international level.
Jess Jonassen has been superb in Brisbane's bowling attack, taking 10 wickets at an average of 15.7. Her most recent figures of 3 for 17 will give her confidence going into this encounter. Overseas signing Pooja Vastrakar was beginning to find some form in the last match, bowling the dangerous Tahlia McGrath for a duck. Despite losing to the Strikers, they remain one of the most in-form teams.
Having started the tournament well, Perth Scorchers have now lost the last two games they have played. Their bowling has been vital to their early success. Lilly Mills is in fine form for the defending champions, taking a quick three wickets in their most recent loss to give her side a chance. Alana King is a threat to any batting lineup. Her ability to take wickets and keep run rate to a minimum makes her a matchwinner for the Scorchers.
The form of their batters is concerning. The early wins involved chasing low totals, with Beth Mooney scoring slow but useful runs at the top. But they failed to chase 166 against Sydney Thunder and could only manage 111 against the Strikers. Captain Sophie Devine will have to find some form at the top of the order for Perth to reignite their early winning form.

The last time the two sides met Perth Scorchers came out on top in a thrilling super over. King was awarded player of the match for her figures of 2 for 24.
It will be a good contest between King and Redmayne. Both are in sensational form and will want to get the better of each other on Saturday.
Mooney has been scoring most of the runs for Perth this year but at a poor strike rate. She may look to be more attacking if someone can stay in with her.
Georgia Voll (Brisbane) and Mills (Perth) have been playing well for their respective clubs. If Mills ends up bowling to Voll, it will be an exciting match-up with two young talents on show.
The weather is forecasted to be sunny with temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius.
Zoe Cooke remains injured for Brisbane Heat.
