What's the match?

Adelaide Strikers take on Melbourne Stars in match 26 of the WBBL; the eighth edition of the tournament.

When is it taking place?

The game is scheduled to start at 3.30pm local time (4.30am BST) on Wednesday, November 2.

Where is the match being played?

The North Sydney Oval is set to stage this match.

Who's got the form?

Having lost their first two games, Adelaide Strikers have now won four in a row to find themselves third in the WBBL table with eight points.

They have found great form with both bat and ball and will come into this game with a huge amount of confidence.

Darcie Brown and Megan Schutt have taken valuable wickets in the powerplay and Amanda-Jade Wellington has been superb bowling in the middle overs.

Katie Mack found some form at the top of the order in their last match, guiding her team to a win with an unbeaten 47. Laura Wolvaardt, batting at three, has anchored the innings well, providing stability when early wickets are lost.

The Strikers will also be happy with the form of Madeline Penna, who has been scoring quick runs at the end of the innings. With a capable finisher in Penna, Adelaide have an in-form, well-balanced batting lineup that will be confident chasing.

Melbourne Stars have ensured a poor season, having only won one match in six. Despite some good individual performances, their batting has let them down.

Overseas signings Jemimah Rodrigues and Alice Capsey are yet to score any meaningful runs and will need to find some form to change their team's fortunes.

Sophie Day and Annabel Sutherland put in strong bowling performances in the derby win over the Renegades, taking four and three wickets respectively. Kim Garth has also been bowling at the top of the innings.

What's the key match-up?

It will be interesting to see how England international Lauren Winfield-Hill faces up to in-form opening bowlers Darcie Brown and Megan Schutt.

The Stars' batters will have to be wary of Wellington's skill, having already taken 5 for 8 this year, but will still need to look to score in the middle overs.

Strikers' opening batter Deandra Dottin has been scoring at an uncharacteristic low strike rate this tournament and will be eager to improve on that.

What's the weather forecast?

The weather is forecasted to be sunny with temperatures around 19 degrees Celsius.

What is the team news?

Strikers have named a 13-strong squad for the game. Tegan McPharlin will make her 100th appearance if she features, after playing in all six regular-season matches so far.
