The seamer's time on loan at Derbyshire was affected by injuries
Ryan Sidebottom has returned to Warwickshire after his loan spell with Derbyshire came to an end.
The seamer's time with Mickey Arthur's side was stunted by injury problems. Sidebottom suffered a hamstring issue just seven balls into his debut for the county against Middlesex on the season's opening day, though he recovered to take the field three weeks later in a draw with Glamorgan.
He played once more, in a high-scoring draw against Worcestershire, before the injury returned and Liam Hurt was drafted in on loan from Lancashire as a replacement.
Arthur, Derbyshire's head of cricket, said: "Ryan's had a tough time with injury during his loan, but the energy and professionalism he brought to our group was a real plus in the first two months of our season.

"He's an experienced seamer and our younger bowlers have learned a lot just by working with him every day. It's not just how he works on the field, but how he is around the dressing room, in training and even when recovering from injury.
"We'd like to thank Ryan for his efforts for Derbyshire and I know everyone wishes him the best in his recovery."
His injury is one of several to have afflicted Derbyshire recently, who earlier in the month signed Australian Hayden Kerr to offset a significant elbow injury suffered by Suranga Lakmal.
