Where is the match being played?

Every game in the 2021 Caribbean Premier League is being held at Warner Park on St Kitts, in an effort to minimise the Covid-19 risk to the tournament.

Who’s got the form?

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have been the team of the tournament so far and are guaranteed their spot in the playoffs. Their opponents, Trinbago Knight Riders, are all but assured of qualification due to their impressive net run rate.

However, there is plenty resting on this fixture with the team that finishes top playing against the team in fourth place. With the Patriots chasing their first CPL title, the easiest route into the final is preferable and a win here will secure that.

In the previous round of fixtures, playing against each other, the Patriots came out on top thanks to a blistering century from Evin Lewis. Despite the Knight Riders being four-time winners of this competition the Patriots will go into this fixture as firm favourites after securing their sixth victory in nine games.

Who to watch?

For St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, their stand-out performer has also been the stand-out performer of the tournament. Evin Lewis has been in scintillating touch and has proven why his stock is so high in the T20 format. His 343 runs have come at an incredible average of 42.87 and an eye-watering strike rate of 158.79. After smashing an unbeaten hundred against Trinbago on Sunday, his confidence will be soaring. He is climbing the T20 player index and now finds himself in 76th place, with nowhere to go but up.

Trinbago Knight Riders are littered with stars from top to bottom. Not only do they have Kiwi overseas and T20 specialist Colin Munro, who has carved 230 runs this year, but they also have reformed all-rounder and mystery spinner Sunil Narine. The latter has not been at his best with the bat or ball, but he has been provided with incredible support by leading wicket-taker Ravi Rampaul. So good is Rampaul’s form that he has managed to earn a recall to the international stage after being selected for the West Indies squad in the upcoming World Cup. His last international match came in 2015 and his recall is down to the 17 wickets he has claimed in the tournament at an average of 13.00 and an economy rate of just 7.20. His resurgence is staggering, and there’s no doubt he will have a big part to play as this tournament draws to a close.
