The Hundred women's teams grow as domestic additions are confirmed

Alex Hartley, Sophia Dunkley, Mady Villiers, Katie Levick and Sarah Glenn are among the stand-out names as the squads swell ahead of the inaugural edition of the competition

England quartet Alex Hartley, Sophia Dunkley, Mady Villiers and Sarah Glenn are the high-profile domestic additions to the squads for The Hundred women's competition.

The next wave of signings for each of the eight teams competing in the 100-ball tournament have been confirmed, following on from the wave of marquee additions.

World Cup winner Hartley has joined Manchester Originals, Dunkley has been picked up by Southern Brave while Trent Rockets have signed up spin duo Villiers and Glenn.

Women's county cricket record wicket-taker Katie Levick has moved to Northern Superchargers and Welsh Fire have signed local players Alex Griffiths and Claire Nicholas.

Marie Kelly, who captained Warwickshire, will represent Birmingham Phoenix and Naomi Battani is bound for London Spirt having previously led Middlesex.

The squads for each side now stand at eight, with seven births remaining. Teams are allowed six marquee players which includes overseas stars and centrally contracted England players.

Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight, Mignon du Preez, Alyssa Healy, Dane van Niekerk and Nat Sciver are already signed up for the competition which kicks off on July 22.
