What's the match?

London Spirit host Southern Brave in the next match of the men's Hundred 2023.

When is it taking place?

The game is due to start at 6.30pm BST on Tuesday, August 8.

Where is the match taking place?

London Spirit's home ground is Lord's.

Who's got the form?

London Spirit are yet to register a victory in this year's Hundred after suffering a narrow defeat to Oval Invincibles in their opening fixture of the campaign and then having their match against Manchester Originals abandoned after just one innings due to heavy rain.

Spirit have shown glimpses of their quality but failed to capitalise upon it, putting on an impressive batting performance early on in the innings against the Invincibles and bowling nice and tight to get within touching distance of victory against their London rivals. However, against the Originals they were far too expensive and took just five wickets for 138 (80 balls), relying on 38-year-old Ravi Bopara to bail them out.

It's been a mixed start to the Hundred for Southern Brave. They fell narrowly short at Trent Bridge last Tuesday but picked up their first victory of the campaign against Welsh Fire after the heroics of Chris Jordan. However, they failed to carry that form into Sunday's fixture against the Superchargers, where they were hammered by 60 runs.

All in all, it's fair to say Brave have been fortunate so far in this competition to have picked up a victory, relying more on individual brilliance instead of the team performance.

What's the key matchup?

The rain in Manchester ruined a return to The Hundred for England opener Zak Crawley. He will provide more stability and quality to an already strong top order that contains a plethora of explosive batters such as Adam Rossington, Lawrence, Mathew Wade, and even Daryl Mitchell. Despite failing to pick up any wickets at the weekend, Nathan Ellis will always be the dangerman with the ball for Spirit.

On the other hand, the Brave aren't without short on destructive batterof their own, but they will be relying heavily on the likes of James Vince, Leus du Plooy, and Tim David to build a good innings and hit a defendable score after losing lower order powder keg Jordan to injury. It will be up to the likes of Craig Overton, Tymal Mills, and Rehan Ahmed to step up and take those big wickets.
