What's the match?

Manchester Originals take on Oval Invincibles in the latest game of the 2022 women's Hundred competition.

When is it taking place?

The match is scheduled to start at 3pm BST on Wednesday, August 31.

Where is the match being played?

This match will take place at Emirates Old Trafford.

Who's got the form?

Oval Invincibles secured their passage into the latter stages by beating London Spirit on Saturday and, thanks to results elsewhere and their own win over Birmingham Phoenix, Manchester Originals still also have a chance of progressing.

They are relying on results elsewhere, with a Phoenix win ending Originals' hopes in any case, while Trent Rockets will qualify if both Originals and Phoenix lose. Southern Brave remain unbeaten and were the first team through to the latter stages.

Invincibles made light work of Spirit, thanks to Mady Villiers' four-wicket haul and a no-fuss chase, while Originals were also indebted to an England spinner - Sophie Ecclestone - for their win over Phoenix. Both will be key in a game that is more important to the hosts than the visitors and reigning champions.

What's the team news?

Neither side has any fresh injury concerns, though as in their win over Birmingham, Manchester Originals are without Deandra Dottin, who has returned home.

Invincibles have missed Marizanne Kapp for their last couple of games, but they have no need to rush her back unless fully fit, given the strength of their overseas cohort.

What's the key match-up?

Sophie Ecclestone and Kate Cross have their work cut out against Invincibles' batting line-up, which has been strengthened this season with the arrivals of Suzie Bates and Lauren Winfield-Hill.

Alice Capsey is in fine form as well for a side that has lost just once all tournament. Dane van Niekerk is unbeaten as captain this year, having been controversially left out for the defeat by Southern Brave. Originals need their own South African, Lizelle Lee, to fire.

Can I get tickets?

There are limited tickets available for this fixture.
