What's the match?

London Spirit host Birmingham Phoenix in the latest game of the 2022 men's Hundred.

When is it taking place?

The match is scheduled to commence at 6.30pm BST on Tuesday, August 30.

Where is the match being played?

This match will take place at Lord's.

Who's got the form?

Both sides began the tournament in strong form, with London Spirit winning their first four matches and Birmingham Phoenix winning three out of four. However, since then, the form guide for both teams reads LWL.

Last time out, London Spirit lost to Oval Invincibles by six wickets while Birmingham Phoenix suffered a 79-run hammering at the hands of Manchester Originals.

With five wins to their name, Spirit sit second in the table, level on points with Trent Rockets and two clear of the chasing pack. If they win this match, they're assured of qualification for the knockout stages and a top-two finish. Lose and they'll have to keep an eye on results elsewhere.

Phoenix, meanwhlie, lie fifth as a result of their poor net run rate and for them it's either win or be eliminated. Even a win, however, may not guarantee their safe passage.

What's the team news?

Imran Tahir is no longer available for Birmingham Phoenix and has been replaced by Tanveer Sangha.

Liam Livingstone has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with an ankle injury. Sol Budinger has been recruited as a replacement.

London Spirit have no new injury or availability news. For the last couple of matches, they have been without Glenn Maxwell (international duty) and Kieron Pollard (CPL).

What's the key match-up?

This match will likely hinge on how London Spirit's bowlers handle Birmingham Phoenix's batting unit.

Phoenix have been something of a mixed bag this summer, twice passing 160 with the bat but also slumping to 75 all out against Manchester Originals.

Even without Liam Livingstone there is no shortage of talent, with Will Smeed (178 runs), Moeen Ali (161 runs) and Miles Hammond (118 runs) in the top order and the likes of Benny Howell, Chris Benjamin and Matthew Wade to follow.

However, they do have a rather lengthy tail and if London Spirit - perhaps through Jordan Thompson (12 wickets) - can pick up a couple of early wickets, Phoenix could find themselves in disarray.

But, if Spirit allow the likes of Smeed and Moeen to settle, things could get ugly.

Can I get tickets?

There are limited tickets available for this match.

What's the weather forecast?

Cloudy conditions and temperatures hovering around 20 degrees Celsius - a cooler evening than we've been used to this summer.
