NICK HOWSON takes a look at the Superchargers' player recruitment and suggests what more needs to be done before the start of the new season
Who has been retained?
The Superchargers head into the draft with a well-balanced group.
Faf du Plessis and Harry Brook lead a heavyweight batting line-up, John Simpson is the No.1 gloveman, David Willey and Brydon Carse are the quick-bowling options and the spin ranks are led by Adil Rashid and Callum Parkinson.
It wasn't a classic campaign for the quicks and Matthew Potts is perhaps a tad fortunate to remain.
At the other end of the team, Adam Lyth registered his 40 tournament runs at a strike rate of 108, which isn't really good enough.

Who has been released?
Jordan Thompson is perhaps a surprising departure but he will likely be targetting a bigger deal after being selected at the 11th hour last summer. Olly Stone's injury history means he sadly hasn't been persisted with.
Fresh from his maiden England call-up, Matthew Fisher is looking for a new deal while Tom Kohler-Cadmore's exit leaves a chasm in the power-hitting ranks.
Ben Raine's six wickets in four games weren't enough to see him remain though fast-bowling allrounders are ten a penny around Headingley.
David Willey is set for another prominent role (George Wood/Getty Images)
What will be the main focus of the draft?
The top-order batting cupboard looks very empty and that feels like the priority in the draft. Their first pick will surely focus on that area of the team.
There is also the need for another fast-bowling allrounder, with Stokes set for a peripheral role this summer, and some depth is perhaps required in the wicketkeeping and death bowling departments.
