Nat Sciver-Brunt will lead Trent Rockets in The Hundred this year, having handed over the captaincy towards the end of last season before taking a break from the game.

Australian batter Elyse Villani took on the role for the final portion of Rockets' campaign, but Sciver-Brunt is now back in the role.

Lewis Gregory, who led Rockets to the title last September and won the T20 Blast with Somerset on Saturday, will continue as captain of the men's team.

"To lift that trophy at Lord's last year was a very special day and to get the opportunity to try and do that again is definitely exciting," he said.

"We have a really good group; we enjoy playing together and love the entire experience that the Hundred provides."

Northern Superchargers, meanwhile, are set to continue with Hollie Armitage as their women's captain, while Wayne Parnell, the South African allrounder, replaces compatriot Faf du Plessis on the men's side.

Armitage is head coach Dani Hazell's captain in the regional system at Northern Diamonds, winning the Heyhoe Flint Trophy together, and Hazell added: "We have worked together for a number of years so she knows me and the squad well and I'm confident she will do a great job again."

Parnell represented Durham in this year's T20 Blast and captained Pretoria Capitals to the final of the inaugural SA20.
