Manchester Originals have replaced Usama Mir with Calvin Harrison after the Pakistani leg-spinner was called up by his country.

Mir has been named in an 18-man squad to face Afghanistan in Sri Lanka ahead of the Asia Cup.

Nottinghamshire leg-spinner Harrison previously featured for Originals in the 2021 tournament, turning out in six games before being retained in 2022.

He has been ever-present for Nottinghamshire so far in the One-Day Cup, with Peter Moores' side sitting third in a congested group, having won three and lost three, along with a rain-off.

Originals are also third in The Hundred, two points behind Oval Invincibles. They face Northern Superchargers at Emirates Old Trafford on Sunday.

Harrison is the latest replacement to be called upon in recent days, with Colin Ackermann joining Southern Brave earlier in the week following an injury to Alex Davies.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf have also departed for Pakistan duty, with Welsh Fire bringing in Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson to replace them.
