Warwickshire wicketkeeper Alex Davies has been ruled out through injury, with Ackermann now set to join up with Brave for the remainder of the competition
Southern Brave have signed Colin Ackermann as an injury replacement for Alex Davies.
Warwickshire wicketkeeper Davies hasn't featured in The Hundred, but Leicestershire batter Ackermann is now set to join up with Brave for the remainder of the competition.
He initially joined on a temporary basis over the weekend; he was called up by Brave while travelling to the Ageas Bowl to face Hampshire with Leicestershire in the One-Day Cup on Saturday morning, which meant detouring to Cardiff for Brave's clash with Welsh Fire.
But after he wasn't selected to play, Ackermann then took an Uber back to Southampton to arrive on Saturday night ahead of the game against Hampshire on Sunday. He guided Leicestershire to victory, ending unbeaten on 93.

"Unfortunately, Alex has been ruled out through injury. Colin replaces him and comes with good form in the One-Day Cup, and his ability to contribute with the ball makes him a good fit for the squad."
Ackermann's switch is a blow to Leicestershire, who are on the cusp of qualifying for the One-Day Cup quarter-finals, with a strong side and the chance to challenge for silverware.
