The extent of Buttler's injury is not yet clear, but there will be some concern in the England ranks, given the T20 World Cup in Australia is just two months away
England white-ball captain Jos Buttler will miss the rest of The Hundred through injury.
Buttler, who has been leading Manchester Originals in this year's competition, sustained a calf problem during his side's victory over Southern Brave last Thursday (August 18).
He sat out the Originals' win against Northern Superchargers at Headingley on Sunday, and on Monday the club confirmed that their skipper would not play a part for the rest of the campaign.
Laurie Evans, who stood in for Buttler against the Superchargers, will take on the role for the remainder of the season.

The extent of Buttler's injury is not yet clear, but there will be some concern in the England ranks, given the T20 World Cup in Australia is just two months away.
The batsman is due to lead his side on a seven-match T20I tour of Pakistan in September, with the first game of the series scheduled to take place on September 20.
The Originals remain in with a chance of reaching the knockout stages of The Hundred, with their win on Sunday taking them to six points from six matches. If they are to reach the latter rounds, they will have to do so without both Buttler and Andre Russell.
Russell, the West Indies allrounder, has left the Manchester camp to head back home to the Caribbean, where he is scheduled to take part in the CPL and its warmup act - the new, 10-over tournament dubbed the 6ixty by organisers.
