Roy went unsold at the 2024 draft but has now been picked up by Northern Superchargers
Northern Superchargers have picked up Jason Roy to replace Brydon Carse in their squad for the 2024 men's Hundred competition.
Roy went unsold in the 2024 draft, and has signed up to play Major League Cricket in America, which has a short crossover with the start of The Hundred.
Roy represented Oval Invincibles for the first three editions of the 100-ball competition, amassing 391 runs.
His switch to the Superchargers comes as a replacement for fast-bowling allrounder Carse, who is banned from cricket until the end of August for historical betting violations.

Upon signing for the Northern outfit, Roy said: "I can't wait to join Northern Superchargers. It looks like we've got a really good group forming and the thought of playing for Freddie [Flintoff's] team is pretty exciting.
"You watch a bloke like him smash it when you're a kid and it'll be fun to work with him. I'd have been disappointed to have missed out on The Hundred so I'm glad to have got an opportunity, and I'm looking forward to getting up to Leeds and enjoying the competition."
