Sophie Ecclestone and Tom Abell have also been named as new skippers, with Ecclestone replacing Kate Cross following her move to Northern Superchargers
Australia's Ellyse Perry will captain Birmingham Phoenix in the upcoming edition of The Hundred, replacing Amy Jones in the role.
The Australian allrounder will be joined in The Hundred as a new captain by Sophie Ecclestone and Tom Abell, who will take charge of Manchester Originals and Welsh Fire respectively.
Perry will be looking to improve on Birmingham Phoenix's fourth-place finish in last year's competition as she leads the team this season.
She had a mixed campaign in the Women's Premier League earlier this year with Royal Challengers Bangalore, the high point being an unbeaten 67 against Delhi Capitals.
For England spinner Sophie Ecclestone, leading Manchester Originals will be her first taste of professional captaincy. The top-ranked T20I bowler, Ecclestone will be looking to bring all of her white-ball knowledge to help Manchester Originals improve on last season.

They lost former captain Kate Cross to Northern Superchargers after opting not to use their right-to-match option on the England seamer.
"I'm buzzing to be captaining Manchester Originals this year," said Ecclestone. "The Hundred is such a great competition to take part in and I can't wait to lead the girls out at Emirates Old Trafford."
Abell, formerly of Birmingham Phoenix, has joined new head coach Mike Hussey in Cardiff. The Somerset captain averaged more than 33 in last year's T20 Blast and was earmarked pre-draft as a possible Fire captain.
He said: "I jumped at the opportunity to come and take a leadership role with Mike here at Welsh Fire. I'm really excited by the challenge that lies in front of us and we're both really keen to bring some success to Welsh Fire."
The third year of The Hundred is due to get under way on August 1.
