A deluge of Australian stars led the high-profile picks during the women's Hundred draft.

Former captain Meg Lanning joins England skipper Heather Knight at London Spirit while Beth Mooney and Sophie Molineux are through the door at Manchester Originals.

Trent Rockets picked up Ashleigh Gardner, who has twice held contracts but never appeared, while Welsh Fire will hope Jess Jonassen can finally feature after two aborted spells.

Defending champions Southern Brave secured the return of Smriti Mandhana and Oval Invincibles, champions from the first two editions, picked up Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu. Amanda-Jade Wellington, formerly of Brave and Originals, is also bound for the Kia Oval.

Birmingham Phoenix, the bottom-placed side in 2023, re-signed Amy Jones having previously released her and then added further wicketkeeper batters in Richa Ghosh and Seren Smale.

England's Lauren Filer, released by Spirit, has joined the Originals where Phoebe Graham returns after previously being let go.

Claire Nicholas and Alex Griffiths are back at Welsh Fire, Kalea Moore has returned to Brave, Chole Brewer will again be part of the Phoenix squad, Grace Ballinger and Lucy Higham are back with Northern Superchargers, and Cassidy McCarthy is bound for Rockets.

The concluding picks saw a handful of England Under-19 players win deals. Tilly Corteen-Coleman moved to Brave, Davina Perrin to the Superchargers (previously at Invincibles) and Josie Groves to Rockets.

With just 43 positions to be filled (squads will be completed by wildcard picks later in the year) several players were always set to be disappointed.

From the overseas list that included India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, international compatriot Deepti Sharma and West Indian allrounder Deandra Dottin were each overlooked

Domestically, the most significant figure to miss out was Fran Wilson, the Western Storm batter who was released by Rockets in the off-season.
