Trentham Estate in Australia

The vineyards

Coriole Vineyards

Located in the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia, Coriole was established by the Lloyd family in 1968 and now exports worldwide.

Whilst they produce wines from famous and well-known grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, they also make particularly good wines from several Italian varieties such Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Barbera – as well as the fruity Nero d'Avola and stunning Fiano above.

Trentham Estate

Trentham was founded in 1988 by Anthony and Patrick Murphy in the region that follows along the river valley where the northern part of Victoria and New South Wales meet.

The brothers proved once and for all that, when handled well, irrigated regions can produce truly excellent wines, becoming the first team of grapegrowing-winemakers awarded 'Winemaker of the Year' from an irrigated region.

The expert - Andrew Hill

Andrew Hill is a 3rd generation wine merchant and Managing Director of George Hill – a family firm of 113 years.

Wine may have been Andrew's life for over five decades, but he still regards himself a student – forever travelling the world of wine as it develops and flourishes.
