Nottinghamshire has been hampered by injuries with bowlers Olly Stone and Luke Fletcher currently sidelined. Jake Ball, meanwhile, is continuing his recovery towards match fitness.
The 25-year-old seamer showcased his talent last season by collecting four wickets at an average of just under 16 in three matches for Surrey.

Outlaws head coach, Peter Moores, stated: "Conor is a good fit for us in the short term with the attributes he'll bring to the team.
"He adds quality and depth to our squad as we work on getting some of our players back to match fitness."
The right-arm fast bowler will join up with the rest of the squad for training ahead of Notts' clash with Derbyshire Falcons at Trent Bridge on Friday (May 26).
Moores added: "We have a good record in the T20 format, and we are really looking to get things going on Friday.
"It's a rivalry game under the lights on a Friday night, and we are always well supported at Trent Bridge, so the lads can't wait to begin."
