Northants Steelbacks sign Dwaine Pretorious for T20 Blast

South Africa allrounder Dwaine Pretorius is to join Northamptonshire Steelbacks for this season's T20 Blast.

Pretorious will be available for the duration of the tournament, subject to a no objection certificate being granted by Cricket South Africa.

Northants say he could also feature in the County Championship clash with Worcestershire in August.

"I am really stoked to be joining Northamptonshire for the T20 Blast and for some red ball cricket," he said.

"I have always wanted to play county cricket – personally it’s a dream come true and I can’t wait for the opportunity.  I will be doing everything I can to help the Steelbacks lift the cup and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be part of the team.
