Glamorgan bring in Cam Fletcher as short-term Blast reinforcement

Fletcher, who has been prolific in the Bradford Premier League for New Farnley, will make his Glamorgan debut on Tuesday evening at the Kia Oval against Surrey

Glamorgan have added New Zealand batter Cam Fletcher to their squad on a weeklong T20 Blast deal.

The arrangement comes with Colin Ingram absent with an Achilles problem.

Fletcher, who has been prolific in the Bradford Premier League for New Farnley, will make his Glamorgan debut on Tuesday evening at the Kia Oval against Surrey.

He is yet to make his international debut, but the wicketkeeper-batter has been included in Test squads in the last year.

Fletcher, from Auckland, plays for Canterbury in New Zealand's domestic competition; he has a career average in T20 cricket of 35.1.

Glamorgan remain in with a shout of qualification for the quarter-finals, currently sitting in fifth place in the South Group, two points behind the top four.
