Rikki Clarke has announced he will call time on his 20-year professional cricket career at the end of this season.
The Surrey allrounder, who has had two spells at the Kia Oval also represented Derbyshire and Warwickshire.
Clarke also enjoyed a brief international career, playing two Tests and 20 ODIs for England between 2003 and 2006.
Currently, the 39-year-old has played 668 career matches, taking 795 wickets, taken 587 catches and scored 17,750 runs.
He's also won a deluge of major honours including three County Championship titles, two T20 Blast crowns, a One-Day Cup winners medal and a Pro40 League success.
He will take up a position with King Edward's School, Witley as their new head of cricket and continue his work with the Rikki Clarke Cricket Academy.
"When I started as a professional back in 2000 I could have only dreamt of the career that was to follow," he said.
"I have played with and against some amazing cricketers throughout my 22 seasons and amongst them made some friends for life.
"I am excited and honoured to be taking up a position with King Edward’s Witley as their head of cricket. A fantastic school with amazing facilities. It really is exciting times ahead and a start of a new chapter."
